Seattle’s hottest neighborhood when it comes to residential home sales in 2015 will be on the Eastside. Bellevue, specifically, and even more specifically, Bellevue’s Woodridge neighborhood. That’s according to Seattle-based online real estate company Redfin, which said that Woodridge will be the nation’s eighth-hottest residential neighborhood in 2015.
Why Woodridge? “Woodridge features many midcentury homes at an affordable price point. And with its highly ranked public schools, it’s quickly becoming a sought-after neighborhood in the city of Bellevue. The community also enjoys a convenient location, tucked away on a quiet hill but only minutes from downtown,” said one Realtor in a Redfin statement.
Seattle’s next “hottest” neighborhoods, according to Redfin, are: northeast Seattle’s Bryant neighborhood; south Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood; south Seattle’s Rainier View neighborhood; and northwest Seattle’s Bitter Lake neighborhood.
What makes a “hot” neighborhood? Redfin said it “analyzed hundreds of millions of pages that its website users visited, homes they added as Favorites to monitor for price changes or sales and the prevalence of Hot Homes, as determined by the Redfin Hot Homes Algorithm.”
Last year, Redfin predicted Phinney Ridge would be Seattle’s hottest neighborhood, and seventh-hottest in the U.S.
