GLOBAL MOMENTUM Volume 2 / 2015
News and Information on the Global Real Estate Market
This past quarter was indeed excep- tionally busy, and Sotheby’s International Realty® had two global regional meetings. The EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) affiliates meeting in Rome was extremely well attended and informative with best practices from colleagues in that region including Portugal and South Africa. The Rome office opening also took place that same week at the historic Villa Aurelia with breathtaking views of this idyllic city. Affiliates from around the globe came out for this event.
The following week our senior leadership team led by Philip White and Wendy Purvey flew to Jupiter, Florida where they hosted the CALA (Caribbean & Latin America) affiliates meeting with key U.S.-based feeder market affiliates in attendance. This proved exceptionally fruitful and even provided the backdrop for a $30 million referral to Rio de Janeiro during one of our breaks.
Worthy of noting are the offices in New Zealand, Australia and Tokyo. All of which have been growing their respective businesses year over year and continue to increase market share in their territories. We hope you enjoy this issue, which will highlight in greater detail all that is mentioned above.
